Saptarishi Agro Industries reported unaudited Q1 FY26 results with revenue from operations at Rs. 1,801.84 lakhs, sharply higher than Rs. 598.48 lakhs in Q1 FY25 — roughly a 3x jump year-on-year. Despite the topline surge, profit after tax edged down to Rs. 6.22 lakhs from Rs. 6.97 lakhs, as margins stayed thin with finance charges of Rs. 22.72 lakhs and no operating leverage. The statutory auditor issued an unqualified limited review but added an 'Emphasis of Matter' flagging that the financial statements were prepared on a going concern basis even though the company's net worth was substantially eroded (other equity stood at negative Rs. 2,410.44 lakhs as on 31 March 2025). All revenue this quarter came from the Gujarat trading segment, while the Tamil Nadu land segment reported a small loss of Rs. 6.71 lakhs and the manufacturing segment was inactive.
The strong revenue growth is encouraging, but weak profitability, compressed margins, and the auditor's going-concern flag raise concerns — shareholders should monitor whether the company can convert top-line gains into healthier earnings and rebuild its eroded net worth.
