Schaeffler India has sent a letter to shareholders asking them to update their KYC details — PAN, bank account information, and nomination — with the company's Registrar & Transfer Agent (MUFG Intime India). Following a SEBI notification from November 18, 2025, all future payments including dividends will be made only through electronic mode, with no physical cheques or warrants issued. Shareholders are urged to claim any unpaid or unclaimed dividends, since amounts lying unclaimed for seven years will be transferred to the Investor Education and Protection Fund (IEPF). A one-year special window from February 5, 2026 to February 4, 2027 has been opened for transferring physical shares bought or sold before April 1, 2019, with such shares to be credited only in demat form and locked in for one year. Shareholders are also encouraged to convert any remaining physical share certificates into demat form.
This is a routine regulatory and administrative communication with no direct impact on the company's financials or stock price. Shareholders should update their KYC promptly to avoid missing future dividend payments, and those holding unclaimed dividends or old physical shares risk losing them to the IEPF if action is not taken.
