GMR Airports reported May 2025 passenger traffic of over 10.0 million across its airports (excluding divested Cebu), up 0.8% YoY. Hyderabad led with strong 15.3% YoY growth at 2.8 million passengers, setting new records for monthly and single-day traffic. Delhi Airport, however, saw a 4.5% YoY decline to 6.2 million passengers due to temporary airspace disruptions tied to a major geopolitical event in mid-May. Mopa (Goa) grew 9.6% YoY while Medan (Indonesia) declined 6.7% due to grounded aircraft. YTD FY26 surpassed 20 million passengers and 120,000 ATMs, both highest-ever. The company also secured the concession to operate Delhi Airport's cargo terminal, expanded UPS cargo operations, and added new international routes from Delhi, Hyderabad, and Goa.
Mixed picture: robust growth at Hyderabad and Goa is offset by a notable YoY decline at Delhi (the largest airport) due to one-off disruption, with recovery noted after May 20. The Delhi cargo terminal concession and new route additions are positive for non-aero revenue, but near-term investor sentiment may weigh on Delhi softness.
