Semac Construction's Board approved its Q1 FY26 results on July 30, 2025, showing a sharp turnaround from the year-ago quarter. Consolidated revenue from operations jumped to Rs. 5,157.90 lakhs from Rs. 2,098.26 lakhs in Q1 FY25, a rise of roughly 146%. The company swung to a consolidated net profit of Rs. 107.76 lakhs, compared with a loss of Rs. 236.28 lakhs in the same quarter last year. On a standalone basis, revenue grew to Rs. 4,723.32 lakhs (from Rs. 1,655.88 lakhs) and net profit came in at Rs. 100.41 lakhs versus a loss of Rs. 270.86 lakhs. Statutory auditor S S Kothari Mehta & Co. LLP issued an unqualified (clean) limited review report on both sets of results. The Board also fixed September 12, 2025 as the date for the 48th AGM and noted that an associate company has become a wholly owned subsidiary.
A clean auditor report combined with a strong revenue jump and a return to profitability is a positive signal for shareholders and may support sentiment around the stock, though the company has been loss-making in prior periods so sustainability of the turnaround remains to be seen.
