Seshasayee Paper and Boards has appointed two new Additional Directors on its board, replacing existing nominees. Sri Kumar Jayant, IAS, Chairman and Managing Director of Tamilnadu Industrial Investment Corporation (TIIC), replaces Dr M Sai Kumar, IAS as TIIC's nominee. Sri Ashish Kumar Srivastava, IFS, Special Secretary in Tamilnadu's Environment, Climate Change and Forests Department, replaces Sri T Ritto Cyriac, IFS as the state government's nominee. Both appointments are subject to shareholder approval via postal ballot. The new directors are not debarred from holding office by SEBI or any other authority. The board also approved the postal ballot notice for these appointments as ordinary resolutions.
This is a routine change of government and institutional nominee directors and is unlikely to materially affect the company's operations or stock price. Shareholders will get to vote on the appointments through a postal ballot in due course.
