The Board of Directors of Shahlon Silk Industries Ltd met on May 27, 2025 and approved audited financial results for Q4 and FY ended March 31, 2025. The Board recommended a final dividend of 3.50%, amounting to Rs. 0.07 per equity share on the face value of Rs. 2, subject to shareholder approval at the upcoming AGM. The record date for the dividend will be announced later. For FY24-25, revenue from operations fell to Rs. 25,126.53 lakhs from Rs. 31,087.76 lakhs in FY23-24, a decline of about 19%, while net profit dropped to Rs. 349.86 lakhs from Rs. 398.16 lakhs (down ~12%). EPS stood at Rs. 0.39 versus Rs. 0.45 in the previous year. The statutory auditors issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on the results.
The dividend is modest in absolute terms (Rs. 0.07 per share) and is a slight increase from the Rs. 0.06 per share paid last year, so it is not a cut. However, declining revenue and profits year-on-year signal weakening business performance, which may weigh on investor sentiment despite the small dividend payout.
