Shalby Limited reported its Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025) results with standalone revenue from operations rising 1.7% year-on-year to ₹2,366.54 Million. However, standalone profit after tax fell about 16% YoY to ₹256.95 Million, as expenses grew faster than revenue. On a consolidated basis, revenue grew around 6.3% YoY to ₹2,964.26 Million, but profit after tanked sharply by nearly 48% YoY to just ₹76.78 Million. The weakness was driven by the company's subsidiaries, which together posted a net loss of ₹185.42 Million in the quarter. The Healthcare Services segment remained profitable with ₹325.67 Million in segment profit, while the Manufacturing of Implants segment saw revenue jump about 78% YoY but continued to report a loss of ₹99.15 Million. The statutory auditor (TR Chadha & Co LLP) issued an unqualified limited review report on both sets of results.
Mixed quarter for shareholders: revenue growth was modest but bottom-line came under pressure, with consolidated earnings nearly halving due to subsidiary losses. Margin compression and continued losses in the Implants manufacturing business are areas investors should watch closely, though the core hospital business remains the key earnings driver.
