Shalibhadra Finance, a rural-focused NBFC, filed its Annual Report for FY24-25 along with the notice for its 33rd AGM scheduled for September 29, 2025 via video conferencing. Total income rose 11.3% to Rs. 36.49 crores while net profit after tax jumped 33.7% to Rs. 16 crores, driven by a portfolio that grew to Rs. 175.63 crores (up from Rs. 133.91 crores). The company now operates 53 branches (up from 47) serving 1.08 lakh live customers across Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, with plans to enter Goa and Karnataka. Capital adequacy remains very strong at 85.70% against the 15% regulatory minimum, and the company carries a BBB- (stable) credit rating from ICRA. A 4% dividend (Rs. 0.40 per share) has been recommended, which is lower in per-share terms than last year because of a recent bonus issue and preferential allotment of 7.22 lakh shares at Rs. 631 that raised Rs. 45.56 crores.
Strong profit growth and a healthy capital buffer are positives, but the headline dividend per share is lower due to the expanded share base from the bonus issue and preferential allotment, which could be a minor near-term negative for income-focused shareholders. The company plans to raise another Rs. 40 crores from banks/financial institutions in FY26 to support further expansion.
