Shalimar Paints reported FY 2025-26 standalone revenue of ₹569.03 crore, down 5% from ₹599.06 crore in FY 2024-25. The company posted a net loss of ₹63.34 crore, improved from ₹80.11 crore loss in the previous year. Despite persistent industry headwinds, the company achieved positive EBITDA for the first time since Hella Infra Market acquired majority stake, driven by cost rationalization and premiumization of product portfolio. Exceptional items of ₹4.60 crore were recorded due to new labour code implementation. Consolidated net loss stood at ₹64.95 crore. Statutory auditors Walker Chandiok & Co. LLP gave an unmodified (clean) opinion on both standalone and consolidated results.
The loss reduction and positive EBITDA signal operational turnaround, but accumulated losses of ₹543.73 crore and negative working capital (current liabilities exceed current assets by ₹65.48 crore) raise going concern risks. Shareholders should monitor the company's ability to achieve sustainable profitability and manage liquidity.
