Shalimar Paints' board approved unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025). Revenue from operations rose to ₹153.46 crore from ₹128.33 crore in Q1 FY25, a growth of about 19.6% year-on-year. The company, however, continued to report a net loss of ₹16.66 crore (standalone), though the loss narrowed from ₹27.02 crore in the same quarter last year. Loss per share improved to ₹(1.99) from ₹(3.23) a year ago. Finance costs more than doubled to ₹6.15 crore from ₹2.88 crore, which remains a concern. The statutory auditor Walker Chandiok & Co LLP issued an unmodified limited review report with no qualifications or emphasis of matter.
Revenue growth and a narrower loss signal some operational improvement, but the company remains loss-making with rising finance costs, suggesting continued pressure on shareholder value. Investors should watch for sustained turnaround in profitability before gaining confidence.
