Shankara Buildpro Limited reported strong Q4 & FY26 results with total sales of ₹1,996 crore (Q4) and ₹6,826 crore (FY26), growing 28% and 30% YoY respectively. Steel volumes surged 19% YoY in Q4 and 32% YoY in FY26 to 10.16 lakh tonnes, exceeding their 1 million tonne target. PAT grew robustly at 42% YoY in Q4 (₹41.5 crore) and 64% YoY in FY26 (₹128 crore). EBITDA margin improved to 3.51% in Q4 and 3.35% for FY26. Working capital efficiency improved to 25 days from 30 days. However, non-steel business faced headwinds with Q4 revenue declining 2% YoY due to tepid building materials environment and production issues in tiles. E-commerce revenue grew 4x from ₹5 crore to ₹22 crore with guidance of ₹35+ crore for FY27.
The strong volume growth in steel and improving profitability metrics are positives for shareholders. The company's 36% RoCE and working capital improvements demonstrate operational efficiency. The medium-term target of 4% EBITDA margin and planned store additions support future growth, though margin expansion remains gradual.
