Acuité Ratings downgraded ratings for multiple debt facilities of Share India Securities. Bank Guarantee facilities totaling Rs 1,280 crore were sharply downgraded from ACUITE A1+ to ACUITE A4+ (lowest short-term rating). Other facilities including Long Term Loans, Short Term Bank Facilities, and Secured Overdrafts (totaling Rs 270 crore) were downgraded from A+ to BB+. Acuité marked all ratings as "Issuer not co-operating." The company disputes this action, stating it already transitioned its rating arrangements to CRISIL Ratings and surrendered several facilities with Acuité in March 2026. CRISIL ratings remain in force and are reaffirmed from time to time.
The Acuité downgrade to junk-grade BB+ for some facilities could raise concerns among investors, though the company contests the action citing its switch to CRISIL. The real credit profile with CRISIL ratings is what matters for informed assessment.
