Shilchar Technologies Limited received an appellate order dated 30th April, 2026 from the Commissioner of Central Tax (Appeals), Vadodara. The original demand of Rs. 3,19,24,454/- (approximately Rs. 3.19 crore) raised under the CGST Act was largely set aside, with Rs. 3,17,73,217/- of the demand being overturned. The appellate authority also waived the interest and penalty components. However, a portion of Rs. 1,64,50,315/- has been remanded to the lower authority for re-determination under Section 73 of the CGST Act. The order was received by the company on 12th May, 2026.
The company considers the order non-material as most of the tax demand and penalties have been set aside. However, a partial re-determination risk remains for Rs. 1.64 crore, which could result in future tax liability depending on the fresh assessment.
