Shipping Corporation of India has informed the stock exchanges that Shri Vikram Dingley, who is currently Director (Technical & Offshore Services) at SCI, has been given the additional charge of Director (Finance) for the period from 1 July 2025 to 31 December 2025, or until further orders. The approval came from the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways through a letter dated 2 July 2025, and is also subject to approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC). Shri Dingley is a long-serving internal SCI executive with over 36 years of experience, having joined SCI in 1989 as a marine engineer and rising through the ranks. He already serves on the boards of SCI's wholly-owned subsidiaries, ICSL and SCI Bharat IFSC Limited. This is a temporary arrangement to fill the Director (Finance) role, which appears to have been vacant.
This is a temporary, in-house arrangement to ensure continuity in the finance function at SCI. For shareholders, the key point is that the Director (Finance) post needed an interim replacement, which may raise minor governance questions, but since the appointee is a seasoned internal director, operational disruption is likely limited.
