Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) submitted the minutes of its 75th AGM held on September 19, 2025, conducted via video conferencing with 92 shareholders in attendance. All 10 resolutions were passed with the required majority, including adoption of FY25 audited financial statements and declaration of a dividend of Rs. 6.59 per equity share of Rs. 10 each for FY 2024-25. Shareholders approved the appointment/re-appointment of three Independent Directors (Shri Satish Kumar Chawla, Dr. Priya Sheel Hada, Shri Gulabbhai Rohit), Capt. Som Raj as Whole-time Director (Personnel & Administration), and Shri Venkatesapathy S. as Government Nominee Director. M/s. Upendra Shukla & Associates was appointed as Secretarial Auditor for a five-year term (FY26–FY30) at Rs. 1,10,000 per year. The Chairman's address covered FY25 performance, Q1 FY26 results, the newly incorporated GIFT City wholly owned subsidiary, ongoing Demerger and Strategic Disinvestment process, and the recent acquisition of two VLGCs named 'Sahyadri' and 'Shivalik'.
Positive for shareholders on the confirmed Rs. 6.59 per share dividend and fleet expansion via two new VLGC acquisitions. The continued mention of the Demerger and Strategic Disinvestment is a material strategic signal investors should track, as SCI is a Government of India PSU undergoing restructuring.
