Shree Cement reported a strong Q4 FY25, with India sales volume rising 13% sequentially to 9.84 million tons and average realisation per ton improving 5% to INR4,768. EBITDA grew 47% to INR1,383 crores, taking EBITDA per ton up 29% to INR1,406, supported by lower fuel costs (INR1.48/kCal vs INR1.82) and a higher green power share of 60.2%. The company recently commissioned grinding units in Etah (UP) and Baloda Bazar (Chhattisgarh), taking total installed capacity to 62.8 million tons, with Jaitaran and Kodla units expected by Q1 and Q2 FY26. Management reiterated its target of reaching 80+ million tons of capacity by 2028 and won a long-pending Jaisalmer limestone mine to support expansion. The company sits on a net cash position of around INR5,400 crores, with FY26 capex guided at about INR3,000 crores.
Strong quarterly performance with sharp margin expansion and a clear multi-year capacity roadmap should be viewed positively by shareholders. Premium product share rose to 15.6% from 11.9%, signalling improving brand positioning, while the net cash balance sheet and conservative accounting changes reduce financial risk.
