Shree Krishna Paper Mills & Industries Ltd posted strong Q1 FY26 results with total revenue from operations rising to ₹5,528.33 lakhs, up about 53% from ₹3,602.28 lakhs in the same quarter last year. The company swung from a loss of ₹19.79 lakhs (before tax) in Q1 FY25 to a profit of ₹124.98 lakhs in Q1 FY26. Profit after tax for the quarter stood at ₹88.46 lakhs versus a loss of ₹23.02 lakhs a year ago, translating to an EPS of ₹0.65. Cost of materials consumed rose to ₹3,187.47 lakhs while power and fuel expenses increased to ₹840.98 lakhs. Statutory auditor Ashwani Garg & Associates issued an unmodified (clean) limited review opinion on the results.
Strong revenue growth and a return to profitability should be viewed positively by shareholders, though the profit margin remains thin at around 2% of revenue. Investors should note the voluntary delisting from the Calcutta Stock Exchange and the recent resignation of an Independent Director as governance-related changes.
