Shree Refrigerations Ltd (SRL) is set to inaugurate a new advanced manufacturing facility in Karad, Satara district, Maharashtra on 20th June 2026. The 50,000 sq ft state-of-the-art plant, built on 6 acres, will feature robotic welding, laser cutting, bending, paint shop, and modern shot blast, with IGBC green compliance and room for an additional 50,000 sq ft expansion. The facility will strengthen the company's Marine and Defence HVAC&R capabilities and reduce dependency on the Pune supply ecosystem through in-house backward integration. SRL, which pivoted to defence less than a decade ago, reported strong FY26 results with revenues growing over 100% YoY in H2FY26 and over 50% YoY for the full year, and is the only Indian company with naval registrations across chillers, turnkey HVAC&R, and electrical control panels.
Capacity expansion supports the company's strong revenue growth trajectory in defence and may improve margins via backward integration and reduced logistics costs. Positive for long-term growth visibility, though near-term capex and ramp-up costs warrant monitoring.
