Shri Gang Industries has published its audited financial results for the quarter and full year ended March 31, 2025 in Financial Express and Jansatta newspapers. Full year revenue from operations rose to Rs. 35,323.98 lakhs from Rs. 28,920.23 lakhs in FY24, a growth of about 22%. Net profit for the year nearly doubled to Rs. 2,932.51 lakhs from Rs. 1,478.98 lakhs, with basic EPS improving to Rs. 16.36 from Rs. 8.25. However, Q4 FY25 slipped into a loss of Rs. 139.98 lakhs versus a profit of Rs. 113.51 lakhs in Q4 FY24, even as Q4 revenue was higher at Rs. 6,295.13 lakhs. A key driver of full year profits was a one-time receipt of Rs. 3,047.36 lakhs from the Uttar Pradesh Government as a refund under the One Time Rehabilitation Policy, which materially boosted earnings.
Strong headline numbers for FY25 mask weak underlying Q4 performance, and the profit jump is largely supported by a one-time government refund rather than core operations. Shareholders should view the annual results positively for now but watch whether the business can sustain profitability without such exceptional support going forward.
