The Ministry of Mines has directed that Shri Sanjeev Kumar Sinha, who currently serves as Director (Operations) at Hindustan Copper Ltd (HCL), will continue to hold the additional charge of Director (Mining) beyond 21.06.2025 until further orders. This is an interim arrangement while approval for further extension is awaited from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoP&T). Dr. Sinha originally joined HCL as Director (Operations) on 09.03.2025 and assumed the additional Director (Mining) charge on 28.03.2025. He brings over 25 years of mining industry experience, primarily from NMDC Ltd, and holds a PhD in Mining Engineering from IIT(ISM) Dhanbad. The company clarified he is not related to any other board member or KMP and is not debarred from holding office under any SEBI order.
This is a routine administrative continuation with no change in leadership or board composition. Shareholders should note the Director (Mining) position remains vacant on a permanent basis, which could create some operational uncertainty, but day-to-day management remains unaffected.
