Shriram Asset Management Company has launched a new open-ended debt scheme called the Shriram Money Market Fund, which invests in money market instruments such as Commercial Papers, Certificates of Deposit, Treasury Bills, and Triparty Repo with residual maturity up to one year. The New Fund Offer (NFO) opens on January 19, 2026 and closes on January 21, 2026, with a minimum investment of ₹1,000 and no exit load. The scheme is benchmarked against the NIFTY Money Market Index A-I TRI and is available under Direct and Regular Plans in Growth option only. This is the first new fund launch since Amit Modani joined as Senior Fund Manager and Lead Fixed Income in October 2025. The launch taps into strong industry tailwinds, with the money market fund category AUM more than tripling from ₹1.11 lakh crore in Oct-Dec 2022 to ₹3.57 lakh crore as of November 2025 (per AMFI data).
The new fund expands Shriram AMC's fixed income product suite beyond its existing Overnight and Liquid funds, potentially helping grow AUM and fee income, though actual impact will depend on NFO subscription and post-NFO inflows.
