Shyam Metalics reported FY26 revenue of Rs. 18,552 crore (up 22% YoY) with PAT of Rs. 1,061 crore (up 17% YoY). Q4 FY26 revenue was Rs. 5,240 crore with PAT of Rs. 312 crore. The company achieved 26% volume growth and 22% revenue growth in FY26, reaching 61.6 lakh tonnes sales volume. The company remains cash positive at Rs. 378 crore despite peak capex cycle. A fresh capex of Rs. 2,700 crore was announced for SBQ mill (Rs. 900 crore) and stainless steel expansion (Rs. 1,800 crore) by March 2029. Total planned capex of Rs. 16,085 crore is 53% incurred. Management targets ~3x revenue and EBITDA growth over 5 years with 15-17% revenue CAGR and 18-20% EBITDA CAGR, funded entirely through internal accruals without raising additional capital.
The company demonstrates strong operational performance with conservative leverage (net debt/EBITDA at 0.08x) and highest credit rating in peer group (CRISIL AA+). The focus on value-added products like SBQ, stainless steel flat products, and aluminium foils should support margin improvement going forward. The disciplined capital allocation (70% growth, 20% liquidity, 10% dividends) and self-funded capex approach minimize shareholder dilution risk.
