Shyam Metalics posted a strong FY26 with full-year revenue of INR 18,552 crores (up 22% YoY) and PAT of INR 1,061 crores (up 17%). Q4 was the strongest quarter on record with revenue of INR 5,240 crores (up 27%) and EBITDA of INR 756 crores (up 33%), with EBITDA margin expanding to 14.4%. The company approved a new INR 2,700 crore capex — split between an 8 lakh tonne long and specialty wire/bar mill at Kharagpur (INR 900 crores) and a stainless steel expansion to 6 million tonnes at Sambalpur with full downstream capability (INR 1,800 crores) — both targeted for March 2029 commissioning. Management guided for ~30% operating profit growth in FY27 driven by full-year contribution from CRM Phase 2 commissioning and the aluminum foil plant ramp-up. EBITDA per tonne guidance was provided at INR 10,000-11,000 for CRM and INR 35,000-40,000 for aluminum. The company is net cash with ~INR 2,000 crores operating cash flow and targets debt below 0.5x equity. The company remains optimistic about West Bengal's improved policy environment supporting faster growth.
Strong execution in FY26 with record Q4 and a clear multi-year growth roadmap via value-added capex. Management guided 30% profit growth for FY27, signaling continued margin improvement. The INR 2,700 crore capex is fully funded by internal accruals and should drive premiumization, supporting better blended margins going forward.
