Shyamkamal Investments Ltd reported total income of Rs. 46.66 lakhs for Q3 FY26 (vs Rs. 13.39 lakhs in Q3 FY25), but the quarter ended with a small loss before tax of Rs. 5.64 lakhs. For the nine-month period (9M FY26), total income more than doubled to Rs. 140.52 lakhs from Rs. 67.95 lakhs in 9M FY25. Profit before tax swung to Rs. 72.08 lakhs from a loss of Rs. 54.46 lakhs a year earlier, with 9M EPS at Rs. 0.42 vs a loss of Rs. (0.39) earlier. The auditor flagged several concerns: no audit trail in accounting software, an unrecovered joint venture investment of Rs. 75.07 lakhs whose recoverability could not be verified, and bank balances with HDFC and Canara that could not be confirmed due to missing statements. The company also raised Rs. 12.91 crore via a preferential allotment of 1.29 crore equity shares at Rs. 10 each in December 2025.
The strong nine-month turnaround and sharply higher revenue are positives, but the standalone Q3 dip into a small loss and the auditor's verification gaps on receivables and bank balances warrant caution. The fresh Rs. 12.91 crore from the preferential issue strengthens the balance sheet but has expanded the share count.
