Sicagen India reported weaker Q1 FY26 results on a year-on-year basis. Standalone revenue from operations fell to Rs 12,157 lakhs from Rs 15,256 lakhs in Q1 FY25, a decline of about 20%. Standalone net profit slipped to Rs 367 lakhs (from Rs 413 lakhs), with EPS at Rs 0.93 versus Rs 1.04. On a consolidated basis, revenue dropped to Rs 20,454 lakhs from Rs 23,226 lakhs (down ~12%), while consolidated net profit was Rs 454 lakhs versus Rs 480 lakhs, with EPS of Rs 1.15 versus Rs 1.21. The trading segment was the main drag (standalone trading revenue fell from Rs 14,001 lakhs to Rs 10,995 lakhs), while the manufacturing segment held up better on the consolidated side (up from Rs 8,733 lakhs to Rs 9,332 lakhs). The auditor (SRSV & Associates) issued an unqualified limited review report with no qualifications or emphasis of matter.
Soft top-line and flat-to-lower profits may put pressure on the stock in the near term, as the trading segment weakness is the primary concern. However, the manufacturing segment's resilience, positive net profit, and clean auditor opinion limit the downside risk for existing shareholders.
