Sigachi Industries board recommended a final dividend of Rs. 0.10 per share (10% on face value of Rs. 1) for FY 2025-26, pending shareholder approval at the AGM. The company reported a standalone net loss of Rs. 7,954.65 Lakhs and consolidated net loss of Rs. 8,280.62 Lakhs for the year, compared to profits of Rs. 4,766.75 Lakhs and Rs. 7,046.08 Lakhs respectively in FY 2024-25. The significant loss was primarily due to a fire accident at the Hyderabad plant in June 2025, which caused exceptional items loss of Rs. 11,821.31 Lakhs including PPE damage, inventory loss, and compensation to victims. Despite the loss-making year, the board maintained the dividend payout at approximately Rs. 382.12 Lakhs, same as the previous year. Revenue from operations stood at Rs. 37,904.24 Lakhs (standalone) and Rs. 47,783.32 Lakhs (consolidated).
The company is paying a dividend despite reporting a net loss for the year due to exceptional fire-related losses. While this shows commitment to shareholder returns, the loss-making position and pending insurance claims for the fire incident may create uncertainty around future dividend sustainability. The Rs. 0.10 per share dividend is modest relative to losses.
