Sigachi Industries reported a standalone revenue decline of 7% to Rs 37,904 Lakhs for FY26 vs Rs 40,783 Lakhs in FY25. The company posted a massive net loss of Rs 7,955 Lakhs compared to a profit of Rs 4,767 Lakhs in FY25, primarily due to a fire accident at its Hyderabad plant on June 30, 2025 that caused Rs 11,821 Lakhs in exceptional losses (damage to PPE, inventories, and compensation to victims). Consolidated revenue also declined 2% to Rs 47,783 Lakhs with net loss of Rs 8,281 Lakhs. The board recommended a token dividend of Re 0.10 per share. Despite the huge loss, the auditors issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on both standalone and consolidated financials. The company has submitted initial insurance claims for the fire incident but no insurance income has been recognized yet.
The exceptional loss from the fire accident has severely impacted FY26 profitability and will weigh on the stock until insurance recoveries are confirmed. The small dividend reflects the difficult year. The clean audit opinion provides some comfort on financial reporting integrity despite the operational setback.
