Sinclairs Hotels reported Q1 FY26 results with revenue from operations of ₹15.69 crore, down about 5.2% from ₹16.55 crore in the same quarter last year. However, total income rose slightly to ₹19.49 crore from ₹19.43 crore, helped by a sharp jump in other income (₹3.79 crore vs ₹2.89 crore). Profit after tax fell to ₹6.18 crore from ₹6.85 crore (~9.7% decline), and EPS came in at ₹1.21 vs ₹1.34. Costs rose meaningfully — depreciation jumped 35% and finance costs (lease liability interest under Ind AS 116) doubled, putting pressure on margins. The auditor BSR & Co. LLP issued a clean (unmodified) limited review report.
A modest top-line dip combined with rising costs and higher lease-related interest led to a double-digit fall in pre-tax profit, which is mildly negative for near-term sentiment. However, healthy other income cushioned the bottom line, and the clean auditor report removes any governance overhang.
