Singer India posted a strong Q3 FY26 with revenue of INR 161 Cr, up 52.5% YoY, powered by 76% growth in the sewing machine segment. Profitability surged sharply with EBITDA at INR 8.7 Cr (+233.5% YoY) and PAT at INR 5.4 Cr (+256.9% YoY), helped by a better product mix and healthy growth in high-margin AZZ embroidery machines. For 9M FY26, revenue rose 26.1% to INR 391 Cr with PAT more than doubling to INR 6.9 Cr. The home appliance segment shrank due to muted demand for cooling and heating products and pressure from higher commodity prices. Management outlined three growth pillars: distribution expansion, gross margin improvement (value selling, AZZ focus, removing loss-making SKUs), and SGA cost optimisation.
Sharp jump in profits and explicit margin expansion roadmap are positive for shareholders, though the appliance slowdown and small market cap (~INR 424 Cr) keep the stock dependent on the sewing machine segment. Investors should watch whether AZZ growth and SKU rationalisation sustain margin gains in coming quarters.
