Singer India, a 170-year-old sewing machine and home appliances brand, shared its FY 2024-25 investor presentation. Full-year revenue grew 1.5% to INR 431.7 Cr while PAT jumped 64% to INR 7.4 Cr and PBT rose 64% to INR 10 Cr. Q4 was stronger, with revenue up 7% YoY to INR 121.7 Cr and PAT up 73% to INR 4.0 Cr. Gross margin expanded significantly from 24.9% to 28.3% for the year, driven by cost optimization, vendor negotiation, and favorable product mix in both sewing (27.4% to 29.5%) and appliances (18.2% to 25%) segments. The company remains debt-free with INR 62 Cr in cash and announced new product launches including a cloud-based bladeless fan and premium sewing brands Husqvarna Viking and PFAFF.
The strong margin expansion and earnings growth are positive signals for shareholders, supported by a debt-free balance sheet and INR 62 Cr cash position. However, modest top-line growth (1.5% for FY, 7% for Q4) and the small INR 3.08 bn market cap mean the stock may stay low-liquidity; sustained revenue acceleration is needed to validate the improving margins.
