Singer India reported strong Q3 FY25-26 results with revenue of Rs. 161 crore (up 53% YoY) and adjusted EBITDA of Rs. 9.6 crore (up 269% YoY), led by the sewing machine business which grew 75% in the quarter. Industrial machines surged 65%, zigzag machines grew 22%, and e-commerce sewing machines posted 24% YTD growth. The appliances segment remained under pressure with revenue declining 7% and gross margins contracting by 120 bps due to weak demand, blocked trade inventory, and rising commodity costs. Management confirmed double-digit growth guidance for the next year, is working on a new greenfield plant expected to be finalized before end of calendar 2026, and targets break-even in appliances. The company holds Rs. 96.13 crore in cash, has the Rs. 200 crore PMY government order running until June 2026, and expects a potential follow-on order of similar size.
Strong Q3 growth, robust order pipeline including the PMY scheme, and healthy cash position should support positive investor sentiment, though margin pressure in appliances and no dividend (cash being conserved for growth investments) may cap near-term excitement.
