SJVN's board approved unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025). Standalone revenue from operations came in at ₹822.44 crore (vs ₹831.73 crore in Q1 FY25), while net profit declined to ₹258.51 crore from ₹327.15 crore, with EPS of ₹0.66 vs ₹0.83. On a consolidated basis, revenue rose to ₹917.45 crore (from ₹870.37 crore), but net profit fell sharply to ₹227.58 crore (from ₹357.09 crore). The company confirmed that 501.02 MW out of the 1,000 MW Bikaner Solar Power Project commenced commercial operations in phases during the quarter, contributing ~₹32.99 crore in revenue. The board also noted full utilization of ₹1,000 crore NCD proceeds raised in September 2021. Additionally, Shri Vivek Bhatnagar, with about 34 years of experience across private and public sectors, was appointed as Chief Internal Auditor.
Despite stable topline on a consolidated basis, profitability weakened year-on-year on both standalone and consolidated fronts, with consolidated net profit dropping around 36%. However, the phased commissioning of the Bikaner Solar Project adds fresh renewable capacity and a new revenue stream, which is a positive for long-term growth. The Chief Internal Auditor appointment is a routine governance move and not expected to materially affect the stock.
