SKF India reported Q4 FY26 sales of INR 5,550 million, up 3% QoQ and 14.8% YoY, driven by improved volumes. However, profit before tax (PBT) dropped sharply to INR 534 million from INR 964 million in Q3, with PBT margin falling 770 basis points QoQ to 9.0%. For FY26 full year, sales grew 12.7% to INR 20,304 million, but PBT margin contracted 694 basis points YoY to 12.3% due to higher cost pressures partially offset by volume growth. Cash conversion ratio stood at a healthy 85%. The company highlighted new EV business wins across 2W, PV, and CV segments totaling approximately INR 656 million and outlined its RACE Strategy focused on CO2 reduction, commercial excellence, and capacity building.
The sharp margin compression despite strong revenue growth signals cost headwinds are weighing on profitability, which could concern investors focused on earnings quality. The new EV-related wins indicate some diversification into faster-growing segments.
