Skipper Ltd has issued notices to shareholders regarding the transfer of unclaimed dividends and underlying equity shares to the Investor Education and Protection Fund (IEPF). The company is contacting shareholders who have not claimed dividends for seven consecutive years starting from FY 2018-19. The unclaimed dividend for FY 2018-19 is scheduled for transfer to IEPF on 16th September 2026. Shareholders have until 20th August 2026 to claim outstanding dividends and prevent share transfer. If no claim is received, both the unpaid dividend and the respective equity shares (physical and demat) will be transferred to the IEPF demat account. Physical shareholders must also update their KYC and nomination details with the RTA (Maheshwari Datamatics) in compliance with recent SEBI circulars.
Shareholders who do not act before the deadline will lose beneficial ownership of their shares, which will be transferred to the government's IEPF demat account, though they retain the right to claim both dividends and shares back from IEPF by filing the prescribed IEPF-5 form online.
