SMC Global Securities reported consolidated total income of Rs. 1,88,448.72 lakhs for FY26, up 5.5% from Rs. 1,78,572.01 lakhs in FY25. However, profit after tax declined significantly to Rs. 10,324.60 lakhs from Rs. 14,681.16 lakhs in the prior year, representing a ~30% drop. The company issued a 1:1 bonus share in November 2025 (doubling share count), and the Board recommended a final dividend of Rs. 0.60 per share (30% payout), bringing total dividend for FY26 to Rs. 1.20 per share. Revenue growth was driven by fees and commission income (Rs. 1,17,202.49 lakhs vs Rs. 1,11,306.39 lakhs) and proprietary trading gains (Rs. 23,046.01 lakhs vs Rs. 17,029.38 lakhs). Finance costs increased to Rs. 22,132.41 lakhs from Rs. 20,695.65 lakhs, impacting profitability. Auditors P.C. Bindal & Co. issued an unmodified (clean) opinion.
The ~30% PAT decline despite modest revenue growth is concerning for shareholders. Higher finance costs and impairment charges eroded profitability. However, the clean audit opinion and dividend continuity provide some comfort. The bonus issue doubled shares, diluting EPS to Rs. 4.87 on restated basis.
