SMC Global Securities announced audited FY2024-25 results with a clean (unmodified) audit opinion from P.C. Bindal & Co. Consolidated total revenue from operations rose about 26% YoY to Rs. 4,49,217 lakhs (from Rs. 3,56,733 lakhs in FY24), driven mainly by broking, distribution and trading. However, consolidated profit after tax declined to Rs. 14,681 lakhs from Rs. 18,828 lakhs in FY24, with basic EPS falling to Rs. 13.92 vs Rs. 17.89 earlier. The Board recommended a final dividend of Rs. 1.20 per share (60%), taking total FY25 dividend to Rs. 2.40 per share (120%) including the interim. It also appointed M/s A.K. Roy & Associates as Secretarial Auditor for FY2025-26 to FY2029-30, and filed the security cover certificate for NCD holders.
Top-line growth is strong but bottom-line contraction and lower EPS may temper investor enthusiasm despite the healthy 120% total dividend payout. The clean audit and continued dividend signal financial stability, though shareholders may watch margin trends and the rise in debt-equity ratio (around 1.36x) going forward.
