Smruthi Organics reported a strong Q2 FY26 with revenue from operations rising about 7.5% year-on-year to ₹31.60 crore (vs ₹29.39 crore in Q2 FY25) and net profit surging roughly 165% to ₹2.06 crore (vs ₹0.78 crore). For the half year ended September 2025, total revenue declined about 10.6% to ₹50.68 crore, but the company swung to a net profit of ₹0.96 crore compared with a loss of ₹0.15 crore in H1 FY25. EBITDA margins expanded meaningfully, helped by lower raw material costs and improved operating leverage. Operating cash flow for H1 FY26 was very healthy at ₹17.03 crore, and the company significantly reduced both long-term and short-term borrowings. The API (bulk drugs) segment remained the key profit driver, while the small Formulation division continued to post a loss of ₹16.72 lakh.
Positive for shareholders — sharp profit growth, margin expansion, strong cash generation, and debt reduction signal an operational turnaround in the quarter. The half-year revenue decline and ongoing losses in the Formulation segment are minor concerns, but overall the results are likely to be viewed favorably by the market.
