SMS Pharmaceuticals reported strong full-year performance with standalone revenue from operations of Rs 88,687 Lakhs, up 13.3% from Rs 78,275 Lakhs in the previous year. Net profit after tax grew 28.1% to Rs 8,761 Lakhs from Rs 6,838 Lakhs. On a consolidated basis, including share of profit from associate VKT Pharma, net profit surged 47.5% to Rs 10,199 Lakhs. EPS (diluted) stood at Rs 11.15. The Board recommended a dividend of Rs 0.40 per share (40%). Statutory auditors Suryanarayana & Suresh issued an unmodified opinion. Capital work-in-progress increased significantly to Rs 11,582 Lakhs from Rs 3,467 Lakhs, indicating ongoing expansion. The company also completed conversion of 50 million warrants into equity shares for Rs 4,763 Lakhs.
Positive results with robust profit growth of 28%+ on standalone basis. The significant jump in consolidated PAT due to associate contribution is notable. However, EBITDA margin compression of ~80 basis points warrants monitoring. The large capex deployment signals future growth investments.
