SP Capital Financing Ltd reported audited financial results for Q4 and FY25 along with a 5% final dividend (Rs 0.50 per share on Rs 10 face value). Profit before tax more than doubled to Rs 15,184 lakhs in FY25 vs Rs 7,376 lakhs in FY24, with profit after tax rising sharply to around Rs 10,184 lakhs from about Rs 5,027 lakhs. Total income grew to Rs 26,510 lakhs from Rs 5,156 lakhs year-on-year. Total assets expanded to Rs 12,312.92 lakhs (FY24: Rs 7,836.46 lakhs), but borrowings also surged to Rs 10,029.60 lakhs from Rs 5,587.70 lakhs, leaving the debt-to-equity ratio elevated at around 4.7x. Statutory auditor M/s JMT & Associates issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on both standalone and consolidated results.
Strong profit growth and a dividend announcement are positive for shareholders, but the steep rise in borrowings and very high leverage (debt over 4.6x equity) signals significant financial risk that investors should weigh against the strong earnings.
