The company achieved Q4 EBITDA of Rs 2.2 Cr compared to a loss of Rs 0.2 Cr in Q4 LY. For full year FY26, consolidated sales were Rs 1,800 Cr vs Rs 1,995 Cr in FY25, representing a 9.8% de-growth primarily due to closed stores in Q2 FY25. Gross margins improved by 92 bps to 20.5%, with Spencer's delivering a 96 bps margin improvement to 19%. Operating costs were reduced by Rs 54 Cr YoY. However, the company continues to report losses with FY26 PBT at Rs (-)250 Cr vs Rs (-)247 Cr in FY25. Natures Basket showed steady margins at 25.6% but faced 9% YoY sales decline.
The company shows improving operational efficiency with better margins and cost control despite ongoing losses. Spencer's segment returning to growth momentum is a positive sign, though the overall retail business continues to face challenges with declining revenues and persistent losses.
