Spencer's Retail reported FY25 standalone revenue of ₹1,70,092 lakhs, down about 17% from ₹2,04,922 lakhs in FY24, while consolidated revenue fell to ₹1,99,520 lakhs from ₹2,34,503 lakhs. Standalone net loss narrowed to ₹18,478 lakhs from ₹21,182 lakhs, and consolidated loss narrowed to ₹24,636 lakhs from ₹26,615 lakhs; Q4 standalone loss was ₹3,820 lakhs vs ₹6,253 lakhs a year ago. Standalone EPS improved to ₹(20.50) from ₹(23.50). Other equity remains deeply negative at ₹(33,846) lakhs standalone and ₹(70,667) lakhs consolidated, and current liabilities exceed current assets by ₹60,411 lakhs (standalone) and ₹72,498 lakhs (consolidated). The auditor (S.R. Batliboi & Co. LLP) issued an unmodified opinion, and the management relied on promoter support, bank credit lines, and monetisable investments for the going concern basis. The board also approved M/s. Manoj Shaw & Co. as Secretarial Auditors for 5 years (FY26–FY30).
Negative for shareholders — Spencer's continues to post losses with a deeply negative net worth, though the pace of losses has slowed and revenue decline was partly offset by a sharp jump in other income (₹7,460 lakhs standalone). Going concern is supported by promoter capital, but weak revenue and persistent negative equity signal continued stress; stock may remain under pressure unless margins improve from the ongoing store rationalisation in South and NCR regions.
