SpiceJet has announced the launch of non-stop flights between Ahmedabad and Sharjah starting February 5, 2026. The new service will operate five days a week, except Tuesday and Wednesday. This makes Sharjah the airline's second destination in the UAE after Dubai, strengthening its international network. The route targets strong trade, tourism, and diaspora travel demand between Gujarat and the UAE. Bookings are already open via SpiceJet's website, mobile app, and authorised travel partners.
This route expansion should help SpiceJet tap additional international passenger traffic, especially from the large Indian expatriate community in the UAE. For shareholders, it signals continued network growth, though meaningful revenue impact will depend on load factors and competition from carriers like Air India Express, IndiGo, and Air Arabia.
