SPL Industries Limited reported its Q1 FY2025-26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025) standalone unaudited results, which showed a sharp year-on-year decline. Net sales fell to Rs. 1,663.71 lakhs from Rs. 4,247.43 lakhs in Q1 FY2024-25, a drop of nearly 61%, while total income declined to Rs. 2,035.56 lakhs from Rs. 4,559.56 lakhs. Net profit for the quarter stood at Rs. 91.30 lakhs versus Rs. 258.37 lakhs in the year-ago quarter, a fall of around 65%, translating to an EPS of Rs. 0.31 (down from Rs. 0.89). The trading of garments segment was the worst hit, with segment revenue dropping from Rs. 3,188.95 lakhs to Rs. 1,106.48 lakhs. The statutory auditors (Raghu Nath Rai & Co.) issued an unqualified limited review report, and the Board also appointed M/s. Vatss & Associates as the new Internal Auditor for FY 2025-26.
Sharp double-digit declines in both revenue and profit signal weak operational performance and could weigh on near-term investor sentiment. The clean audit report and the appointment of a new internal auditor are routine governance items and not a material concern by themselves.
