SRF Ltd has announced the commissioning and capitalisation of the first phase of its Capacitor Grade BOPP Film manufacturing facility at Indore. The first phase was capitalised on 15 May 2026 at a cost of approximately INR 277 crores. The second phase of the project is expected to be capitalised in September 2026 at an additional cost of approximately INR 6 crores, bringing the total project cost to around INR 283 crores. This project was originally approved by the Board of Directors in October 2023. The facility will produce capacitor-grade BOPP (Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene) film, which is used in electrical and electronics applications.
This is a positive development as it marks the completion of a major capacity expansion for SRF in the BOPP film segment. The capitalisation will increase the company's asset base and future revenue potential from the new facility.
