Sri Nachammai Cotton Mills reported revenue of Rs 6,477.29 lakhs for FY 2026, down from Rs 7,054.82 lakhs in FY 2025, marking an 8% revenue decline. The company posted a net loss of Rs 382.34 lakhs compared to a loss of Rs 322.99 lakhs in the previous year. An exceptional item of Rs 658.88 lakhs was recognized from derecognition of preference share liability (extension of redemption period by 7 years), which helped reduce the reported loss. Without this one-time income, the loss would have been significantly higher. The auditor issued an unmodified (clean) opinion. The company is operating only one unit due to poor yarn demand and cotton-yarn price disparity. Power and fuel costs reduced substantially due to a 4 MW solar power plant commissioned in FY 2024-25.
The stock may face pressure as the company continues to report losses despite one-time accounting gains. Declining revenue and persistent operating losses indicate ongoing weakness in the cotton yarn business, though positive operating cash flow of Rs 1,349.01 lakhs provides some liquidity comfort.
