SRM Contractors Limited has secured new contracts worth Rs. 168 Crores in total. The first is a Rs. 128 Crores order from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for construction of long-term remedial measures for a landslide-prone stretch on the Pandoh-Kullu section of NH-03 in Himachal Pradesh, to be completed in 12 months on EPC basis. The second is a Rs. 40 Crores order from the Public Works Department, Maharashtra for construction of a road with minor bridge and culvert work on the Nandgaon Peth-Morshi Warud MH/MP Border Road section of NH-353K, to be completed in 18 months. Both contracts are domestic, awarded by government entities, and are not related party transactions.
The combined order inflow of Rs. 168 Crores strengthens the company's order book and provides revenue visibility over the next 12-18 months. For a small-cap infrastructure company, government-backed highway orders from NHAI and a state PWD signal steady business growth and reduce counterparty risk, which is generally positive for the stock.
