Standard Surfactants Ltd reported revenue from operations of Rs. 5,288.20 lakhs for Q2FY26, up about 16% from Rs. 4,544.25 lakhs in Q2FY25. For the half year (H1FY26), revenue grew sharply by around 30% to Rs. 10,590.12 lakhs versus Rs. 8,136.83 lakhs in H1FY25. Standalone profit after tax for Q2FY26 remained negative at Rs. (13.78) lakhs but narrowed from Rs. (26.18) lakhs loss a year ago, while H1FY26 PAT jumped to Rs. 31.92 lakhs from Rs. 5.67 lakhs. However, operating cash flow turned sharply negative at Rs. (691.93) lakhs versus Rs. 165.96 lakhs positive last year, and total borrowings rose to about Rs. 6,871 lakhs against equity of Rs. 2,962 lakhs, pushing the debt-to-equity ratio above 2.3x. The statutory auditor (Mittal Gupta & Co.) issued an unqualified limited review report with no qualifications or emphasis of matter.
Strong top-line growth and H1 profit recovery are positive, but the Q2 standalone loss, negative operating cash flow and elevated leverage signal balance-sheet and working-capital stress — a mixed picture for shareholders.
