Star Paper Mills' Board approved unaudited financial results for Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025). Revenue from operations stood at Rs. 10,115.75 lakhs, down from Rs. 11,385.16 lakhs in the same quarter last year — a decline of about 11% year-on-year. Total income for the quarter was Rs. 11,302.41 lakhs versus Rs. 12,209.24 lakhs, supported by higher other income of Rs. 1,186.66 lakhs (vs Rs. 824.08 lakhs). Profit after tax was Rs. 1,280.92 lakhs (down ~8% YoY from Rs. 1,390.75 lakhs), with EPS of Rs. 1.21 versus Rs. 1.91. Statutory auditor Lodha & Co LLP issued a clean review report. The Board also fixed September 18, 2025 as the record date for a proposed dividend of Rs. 3.50 per share (35%) for FY25, subject to AGM approval, and appointed M/s D. Dutt & Co as Secretarial Auditor for five years.
Topline weakness is a concern, but the company remains profitable and is proposing a healthy 35% dividend, which should support the stock in the near term. Watch for sustained recovery in operating revenue beyond Q1.
