Steel Exchange India Limited published newspaper extracts of its audited standalone financial results for Q4 and FY 2025-26 (year ended March 31, 2026). For the full year, total income declined to Rs 10,664.18 lakh from Rs 11,633.77 lakh in the previous year, marking an 8.3% drop in revenue. However, net profit after tax improved to Rs 2,699.10 lakh compared to Rs 2,593.42 lakh in FY25, a rise of about 4%. The company posted Q4 net profit of Rs 1,237.04 lakh, significantly higher than Q3's Rs 227.90 lakh. Basic and diluted EPS for FY26 stood at Rs 0.22, same as FY25. Net worth grew to Rs 4,974.07 lakh from Rs 4,355.29 lakh, while the debt-equity ratio improved to 0.42 from 0.48. The results were approved by the Board on May 25, 2026.
Revenue decline is a concern, but improved profitability and lower leverage signal better cost management. The low EPS of Rs 0.22 indicates weak per-share earnings, keeping the stock under pressure despite operational improvements.
