Steel Exchange India Limited has filed copies of its newspaper publication of the audited standalone financial results for the quarter and year ended March 31, 2025, which were approved by the Board on May 19, 2025 and published in Business Standard (English) and Eenadu (Telugu) on May 21, 2025. For the full year FY25, total income rose about 6.4% to Rs 1,163.38 crore from Rs 1,093.26 crore in FY24, while net profit more than doubled to Rs 25.75 crore from Rs 10.69 crore, lifting EPS to Rs 0.22 from Rs 0.09. However, Q4 FY25 performance was weak, with net profit plunging to Rs 4.58 crore (from Rs 19.55 crore in Q4 FY24), dragged down by exceptional/extraordinary charges of roughly Rs 19.6 crore during the quarter. The company also declared a dividend of Rs 0.80 per equity share, net worth improved to Rs 435.53 crore, and the debt-equity ratio eased to 0.48.
Annual numbers are strong, with revenue and profit growth and a healthy balance sheet, which is supportive for the stock. The sharp Q4 profit dip caused by one-time exceptional charges and the modest dividend may temper near-term investor excitement, but the overall FY25 earnings momentum is positive.
